2026 Canadian Trapshooting Championships

Update July 20, 2026

The Canadian Handicap Championship at the Edmonton Gun Club on June 28, 2026 was cancelled due to heavy rain that flooded traphouses, caused trap machine problems, and safety concerns for the trap help.

The ATA was consulted for a ruling and guidance on how to proceed. The request went to the ATA Executive Committee (EC) for a review.

As per the ATA EC decision.

• the 2026 Canadian Handicap Championship (Event 9) is canceled
• the HOA will be determined on Events 1-8
• the HAA will be determined on the 200 Singles and 100 Doubles.

The 2026 Canadian Trapshooting Championships is now considered finalized. Complete shoot results, including the High All Around and High Over All are on the CTA Scoreboard.

To all shooters that won an award at this year’s shoot and have not received it. Please contact the Edmonton Gun Club to make arrangements to receive your award.

Unfortunately, the Handicap Championship event was cancelled due to poor weather that caused flooding and problems with trap machines. Stay tuned for details on how and when the event will be completed.

The 2026 Canadian Trapshooting Championships will be hosted by the Edmonton Gun Club in Edmonton, Alberta. The Championship program runs from Thursday, June 25 to Sunday, June 28 and a warmup day is being planned for Wednesday, June 24.
